Senior / Presales Consultant
Join a specialist software company built around a single enterprise platform covering the full lifecycle of commercial finance, leasing, consumer finance and debt collection — used across factoring, supply chain finance, asset-based lending, auto and equipment finance, real estate finance and legal/late collections. The organisation operates internationally across multiple countries, with a multi-disciplinary team of several hundred functional and technical experts delivering the platform in dozens of languages to tens of thousands of users across 40+ countries, for clients including major banks, captives and specialist lenders. The company is privately owned, allowing for long-term product investment rather than short-term revenue pressure.
As a Senior Presales Consultant, you’ll sit at the intersection of the sales, product and implementation teams, translating deep functional platform coverage into a compelling, credible case for prospective lenders, lessors, platform integrators and captives across the commercial finance and leasing sector.
This is a senior individual-contributor technical sales role rather than a people-management one: you’ll bring established credibility to lead solution discovery, build and deliver tailored demonstrations on the most complex or strategic opportunities, and act as the primary technical voice throughout the sales cycle — mentoring more junior presales colleagues along the way. Given the platform’s breadth — spanning origination, contract management, invoicing, collections and claims — the role suits someone equally comfortable running a boardroom conversation with a COO and a detailed configuration walkthrough with a prospect’s IT and operations leads.
The Role
- Lead the technical discovery process with prospective clients, translating business requirements into a tailored solution narrative across auto, equipment, real estate and consumer finance use cases.
- Design and deliver product demonstrations and proofs of concept, working closely with Business Analysts and Project Managers to reflect each prospect’s specific workflows.
- Own RFI/RFP responses, coordinating input from product, delivery and technical teams to produce accurate, commercially sound proposals within deadline.
- Act as the credible technical bridge between the sales team and internal product/development functions, ensuring what is proposed can be delivered.
- Build and maintain reusable pre-sales assets — demo scripts, solution decks, competitive positioning material — kept current as functional coverage evolves.
- Represent the organisation at industry events, conferences and client workshops across the commercial finance and leasing space.
- Support deal qualification and sales strategy, feeding market and competitor intelligence back into product and go-to-market planning.
- Provide training and technical enablement to the wider sales team on new platform capabilities and releases.
- Build lasting relationships with prospects and clients, acting as a trusted advisor rather than a transactional presenter.
