Client-Facing Implementation Specialist
Our client is seeking a Client-Facing Implementation Specialist to gather and document user stories, collaborate with customers and software engineering teams, and configure systems to meet business needs. The role involves participating in process mapping workshops, supporting accounting and finance workshops, and providing application support through defect investigation and QA. Additionally, the candidate will assist with data conversion tasks, including data mapping, transformation, and reconciliation during go-live events.
The ideal candidate will have prior business analysis or consultancy experience, knowledge of software development life cycles, and excellent problem-solving and communication skills. Preferred experience includes working in auto finance or equipment finance fields.
Responsibilities include:
- Requirements elicitation and user story documentation; working closely with customers and software engineering teams to pinpoint gaps and ensure new features align with customer needs.
- Engaging in process mapping workshops and documenting processes, including those with substantial accounting, reporting, and integration impacts.
- Configuring systems to support customer requirements and business workflows.
- Facilitating accounting and finance workshops.
- Investigating and triaging defects, collaborating closely with software engineering teams to ensure efficient resolution; performing QA and issue reviews; understanding customer impacts and providing interim solutions until issues are resolved.
- Assisting clients in ensuring comprehensive test coverage and requirements traceability.
- Participating in data mapping workshops; developing transformation and load processes; reconciling and troubleshooting data.
- Executing data conversion during the go-live event and prior dress rehearsals.
- Taking ownership of your area and potentially supervising and supporting junior consultants.
- Collaborating closely with both the client and the implementation team to ensure the success of your specific stream and the overall project.
- Providing input into workstream and project planning.
- Proactively identifying risks and issues that might impact delivery timelines.
- Continuously learning about systems and the industries we support, sharing this knowledge with the broader company.
- Reporting on progress, adhering to timelines, and monitoring the budget for your area of responsibility.
- Developing exceptional relationships with customers and team members through tact and diplomacy
