Our client is a US pioneering mobile bank that offers no-fee and automatic savings accounts as well as early payday via direct deposit.

With over one million opened accounts, they are one of the fastest growing banks in the United States in 2020 & 2021.

Due to European exemption they seek to appoint an experienced CTO / hands on Technical lead to ensure that their platform is fit for purpose for the UK & EU markets.

This role position will involve:

• Strategy development
• Technical solution deployment
• Client Engagement & relationship management
• DevOps creation & leadership
• Technical Partnership Management inclusive of Contract engagement & management
• European CIO duties
• Data Protection & GDPR Security

Technologies under consideration:

• Progressive Web Apps (PWA)
• JAMstack / static site delivery
• Frontend: JS (vue, react), HTML, CSS
• Backend: PhP, Ruby on Rails, Python, Node.js
• Hosting: AWS, Azure or similar
• All technologies are open to consideration and if the candidate wishes to make the case for alternative technologies we will have that discussion

Required skills for the role:

• Experience running a CI/CD pipeline with green-blue deployment and short deployment cycles (ideally multiple commits per day)
• Rigorous version control
• Experience running large scale web applications built to serve 2m+ visitors per month
• Strong background in microservices-based environments, API development and systems integration
• Demonstrated leadership record as Senior Developer / Tech Lead / CTO capacity
